Alloy Wire International secures £150,000 of contracts

A company-wide commitment to quality and exacting standards is paying off for Alloy Wire International after it announced a host of new orders following a trio of ‘accreditation’ success.

The manufacturer of ‘high performance’ nickel alloys, which is owned by all its employees at facilities in Brierley Hill and Yorkshire, has secured £150,000 of contracts to supply customers in the aerospace and oil & gas sectors.

Management at the company has been re-approved to the Aerospace & Defence standard ‘AS9100 (revision D)’ and the ISO 14001 Environmental standard.

The latter is the new international accreditation that covers all aspects of health and safety and underlines the manufacturer’s determination to create a safe working environment for its staff.

AWI’s quality team has been strengthened, with the appointment of a new technical specialist who will work in testing and final inspection.

Gary Whitehouse will work with existing specialists to underpin the company’s approach to quality and to also give it additional resource when dealing with customer inquiries that are now a lot more technically demanding.
