Aker Solutions has received a contract from Statoil, to conduct the topside FEED (front-end engineering and design) study at the Mariner field on the UK continental shelf in the North Sea. The contract is valued at approximately NOK 125 million. The customer may proceed with the final investment decision, once the study has been delivered in the summer of 2012. Aker Solutions’ engineering hub located in Oslo, will carry out the engineering and design work, together with engineers from the drilling technologies business in Kristiansand, Norway.
