AddUp expands its portfolio with 17-4 PH alloy

AddUp has introduced the widely recognized 17-4 PH alloy for use on their FormUp 350 powder bed fusion (PBF) machine, expanding its applicability in various sectors such as medical, aerospace, chemical, and petrochemical industries.

The company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its material portfolio to meet customer demands in a cost-effective manner is evident in their recent qualification of 17-4 PH for FormUp 350 machines. This certification to ISO 7153/1 (ASTM F899) enables its suitability for a broad spectrum of medical applications, including surgical instruments, medical screwdrivers, and dental burs.

AddUp’s FormUp 350 machine is well-positioned to harness the capabilities of 17-4 PH stainless steel effectively. Additionally, the company provides comprehensive support throughout the entire manufacturing process, from application discovery to development, qualification, and full-scale industrial production. Their skilled technical team collaborates closely with customers to customize materials according to specific application requirements, while their in-house material testing capabilities streamline the development process.
