A new bar finishing line for Acciaierie Valbruna

The new bar finishing line is designed to maximize the efficiency and resource optimization, so as to enable a high level of operational process automation. This will reduce operation costs and allow Acciaierie Valbruna to competitively cater to the specific needs of its customers.

An essential aspect of the investment is the improvement of safety in the production processes. By using the best available technologies, the risk of accidents will be minimized, ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment for all employees.

The TAU rolling mill processes a wide range of stainless steels, duplex and super duplex, superalloys, and titanium. The new line will handle round bars, round-edge square bars, and square billets.

In addition to the new process equipment, the project will include the L1 automation, the software integration with the rolling mill’s PLC system, and the software communication with the existing L2 system. POMINI Long Rolling Mills will also provide supervision services for equipment installation and commissioning, and training services to the personnel.

The hot commissioning of the new line is scheduled for the last quarter of 2024.
