Chula and EGAT to conduct research on hydrogen production

EGAT and Chula Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University have signed a research fund agreement on “Applying ESG principles to support EGAT’s sustainable project in producing hydrogen and its derivatives from renewable energy.”

The collaboration aims to promote development focused on the environment, society, and governance guided by international standards, while also translating the principles into practical applications that drive clean energy and support Thailand’s sustainable development.

Mr. Narin Phoawanich, Deputy Governor – Fuel and Acting Governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), and Mr. Supichai Tangjaitrong, Managing Director of Chula Unisearch, signed the research and innovation fund agreement on “Applying ESG principles to support EGAT’s sustainable project in producing hydrogen and its derivatives from renewable energy.” The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Professor Pisut Painmanakul, Member of the EGAT Board of Directors and Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee, at EGAT Headquarters in Nonthaburi Province.
