Alleima receives gold medal from EcoVadis

Alleima has been awarded with the gold medal by EcoVadis, a major provider of corporate sustainability ratings. This prestigious recognition of sustainable business practices places Alleima in the top 5% among the more than 130,000 companies assessed worldwide.

EcoVadis is world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings, intelligence, and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. The methodology used by EcoVadis is based on international sustainability standards and supervised by a scientific community of sustainability and supply chain experts.

Alleima has a relatively low climate footprint from operations due to the use of recycled steel (~83%) and fossil-free electricity in production facilities and is committed to minimizing its social and environmental impact through reducing its water usage, careful chemical management, and effective use of by-products such as slag, dust, and process gases.

EcoVadis rates performance of 21 sustainability criteria, in four themes: environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
