Sir Terry Matthews tours TWI Technology Centre

Swansea Bay City Region recently chose TWI Technology Centre (Wales) in Port Talbot as host venue for a recent meeting of its Board. Swansea Bay City Region Board encompasses the four local authority areas of Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, bringing together business, local government and a range of partners – all working toward a common goal of creating economic prosperity in the City region.

Before the meeting, Chairman of the Board Sir Terry Matthews toured TWI’s new Welsh premises, comprising specialist non-destructive testing facilities, digital radiography bays, specialised laser laboratory and twin robotic cell for automated inspection activities.

TWI Technology Centre (Wales) has been located in Port Talbot for ten years where it underpins industry with the engineering support required by the growing aerospace, petrochemical, road and rail transport, energy and healthcare sectors.
