On July 26 Germany-based SMS Siemag announced that it received an order from India-based JSW Steel (JSW) to supply a pickling line/tandem cold mill at its location in Toranagallu Vidyanagar (Bellary), India.
Accordingly, the pickling line/tandem cold mill will have an annual capacity of 2.3 million mt of cold strip in widths up to 1890mm. On the new pickling line/tandem cold mill, JSW will produce strips in high quality steel grades from 2013 and will supply these to the automotive industry.
