SSAB reveals the new WeldCalc 2.0

SSAB will release the new WeldCalc 2.0 at the Samoter and ConExpo trade fairs in March. This updated version includes recommendations for Hardox and Domex in addition to Weldox steels and, due to the easy-access user interface and other new functions, the results are even easier to calculate and apply. WeldCalc is a high-tech software used to calculate and present welding recommendations. A tolerance box is created based on the different plate materials involved in the joint and the desired mechanical properties input by the user. The box will show the allowed span of heat input and preheat/interpass temperature. With WeldCalc 2.0 the user can select the properties most important in a given welded construction. The new version of the software also allows the user to export or save the results.
