Casanova heads engineering

SENER’s new head of engineering and construction area is Guido Casanova, a naval engineer graduate from the University of Sao Paolo and previous business manager for the Brazilian divisions of Pirelli Cabos S.A. and Pirelli Cables in Mexico. He managed the Brazilian division of Pirelli Telecommunications and held several managerial positions at Techint in both Brazil and Italy. Casanova will be in charge of strengthening SENER’s presence in Brazil, particularly in the Power and Process, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Aerospace and Naval sectors. At present, SENER is in Brazil working on several ventures and engineering tenders. The company already has a considerable presence in the Naval Engineering sector due to its FORAN CAD/CAM software used for the design and creation of ships and naval devices. FORAN is licensed to several Brazilian shipyards as well as the Brazilian Army.
