Fronius will be highlighting, at its stand at EuroBlech 2010, what has emerged in terms of new developments and practical applications from the Innovation Initiative launched in Essen in 2009. Applications include TransSteel technology for steel welding in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering and constructional steelwork, Virtual Welding, the welding learning system for training and educational establishments, the new CMT Advanced arc technology for joining with the lowest levels of heat input and, last but not least, the revolutionary Contec “welding nozzle”. Contec essentially consists of two half shells, a wire feeding tube, a compression spring and a clamping nut. The tube feeds the filler material precisely to the contacts on the half shells, which themselves are subjected to the constant pressure exerted by the spring. Despite the wear to the half shells caused by this process, it ensures that the contacting remains 100% stable and that the TCP (Tool Centre Point) stays constant. EuroBlech 2010 takes place between October 26th and 30th, at Hanover, Germany.
