Welding line for stainless pipes

Jiuli has recently finished commissioning a new 25in continuous welding line at their facilities in Huzhou, Zheijiang, China. It is designed to produce welded stainless steel and duplex pipe with a wall thickness of up to 22mm. Typically, applications are for pipelines with corrosive operating conditions found in the oil and gas industry. Industrial production will start by the end of August 2009. The equipment is capable of producing longitudinal welded pipes with an outside diameter range from 219mm to 630mm and in lengths of 6m, 12m and 18m. The automated production line employs continuous forming and welding from the coil, replacing the traditional method of rolling and butt welding plate.
