Platinised titanium and niobium anodes

Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt. Ltd has released Platinised Titanium and Niobium anodes. They are insoluble anodes for use in modern electroplating baths. For hard chromium plating of rotogravure cylinders or piston rings, the company offers semicircular anodes that are well adapted to cylinder shape cathodes. The key features include: a dense crystalline layer structure; a platinum layer produced of molten platinum salt up to 20 micron thick; an even metal distribution of the platinum layer; an optimal adhesion of the titanium mesh; constant conductivity of the anodes; and a very short distance from the electrode to the articles (cylinder – 4-6cm). The anodes are long lasting (approximately 8g platinum per 1 million Ampere Hour are removed per bath) and dimensionally stable, and the base material or substrate is reusable after re-plating. No maintenance of the anodes is necessary. The anodes are to be used with electrolytes made of chromic acid solutions containing sulphuric acid.
