“The year 2021 was a great success for Outokumpu,” stated President and CEO Heikki Malinen in a recent press release. “We delivered our best annual financial results in recent history with adjusted EBITDA exceeding the remarkable milestone of EUR 1 billion euros. In the strong market environment, our mills have been running at full capacity. Our deliveries increased by 15% compared to the previous year,” Heikki Malinen continues. “Sustainability was our key focus area in 2021 and it will continue to be as we go forward. We are the only stainless steel producer with ambitious climate targets approved by Science Based Target Initiatives, or SBTi.
