Elite expands

Elite, a manufacturer of stainless steel sanitary fittings used in the biopharmaceutical and food/dairy industries, has expanded its ability to offer polishing solutions through the addition of two new systems. A 10-station linear system has been installed that can process large components with sizes up to 42â€? x 36â€? x 60â€? as well as large batches of small components. The second system is a 10-station rotary line that is ideally suited for high-volume production of small- to medium-size components. Electro-polishing is used to perform a variety of functions in manufacturing such as ultra-cleaning, micro-finishing, deburring, removing recast layers, removing discoloration and improving corrosion resistance through passivation. Electro-polished components are used in the aerospace, appliance, automotive, pharmaceutical, dental, food/dairy, electronics, medical and semiconductor industries. These new capabilities, along with Elite’s existing design, fabrication, welding, machining and mechanical polishing capabilities will permit Elite to service a broad range of industries with a quality level previously only afforded to the pharmaceutical industry.
