NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij) and Shell Expro (Shell UK Exploration and Production) have jointly awarded an Integrated Services Contract (ISC) to service their facilities in the UK and Netherlands sectors of the Southern North Sea. The contract has been
awarded to AJS, a joint venture between Amec plc, Jacobs Engineering BV and Stork Industry Services BV. The scope of the contract covers the provision of management,
engineering, maintenance and operational support across all Shell Expro and NAM Southern North Sea facilities. This includes the gas plants at Den Helder and Bacton (UK). The value of the seven year contract is approximately EUR 700 million. NAM and Shell Expro (under the operating unit name ONEgas) operate more than 50 offshore production platforms and 2 gas plants in the Netherlands and Southern UK sectors of the North Sea. The contract will be effected from mid-July 2003, and the full AJS organisation will be operational from 1 January 2004.
