Profil UK will introduce its pierce fastener assembly presentation of advanced assembly solutions for sheet metal applications at the forthcoming Wales and South-West Manufacturing Exhibition, which takes place at the Cardiff International Arena, UK on 16th and 17th November. The presentation will focus on the systems ability to accurately install high strength, male or female threads in components up to 4.0mm thick. Products on show will include examples of pierce nuts and studs in standard and large flange configurations, as well as shouldered, conical, ultra low-profile, high shear, flush fitting and restricted access types. All are available with M6-M12 threads in a variety of materials, for installation in coated or uncoated materials, high tensile, stainless and sandwich steels, aluminium sections and even magnesium castings. Other products that will be displayed are Profil’s two-piece electrical earthing fastener; a ball pin fastener that provides pivot points for components such as vehicle bonnet or tailgate assemblies; and the company’s multi-functional RSN âtop hatâ? nuts.
