Awards deadline looms

Entries for the SSDA’s biennial International Stainless Steel Awards Programme for 2002 have been launched. The awards programme encourages creativity, competitiveness and productivity in the stainless steel industry and is the first of its kind in the world.
This year there are 12 categories with an additional award for Best Overall Achievement. The categories are: Product Prototype, Engineering – Projects, Export Achievement, Ferritic Stainless Steel, Food & Beverage, Kitchen Design, Manufacturing – Innovation, Manufacturing – Productivity, Product Development, Service Excellence, Welded Tubing and Welding.
All entries and supporting material can be e-mailed to awards@sassda.co.za or posted to the following address : Dr C Smith, Weavind Park Consulting CC, 207 Osborn Lowe Avenue, Weavind Park, Pretoria, 0184. Entries must be received on or before 26 July 2002.
