New power plant for Huangshi City

A new power plant will be built soon in Huangshi City in central China’s Hubei Province. The project is currently being designed by the China Southeast Power Design Institute. It consists of two 300,000 kW generating facilities, and will involve a total investment of RMB 4 billion, Zhongguo Nizaijian Xiangmu Wang reported. The new power plant will be built in the city’s SW Xisai Town. It has a designed installed power generating capacity of 2.4 million kW. Its operation is expected to replace the low-efficient and high energy consuming generating facilities in the current Huangshi Power Plant. The new power plant aims to increase the Huangshi Power Plant’s power generating capacity by 360,000 kW and its power supply capacity by more than 2 bln kWh.
