Michael Smith Engineers’ Liquiflo Rotogear range of external gear pumps is designed with choice and flexibility in mind, along with characteristics such as reliable, leak-free pumping. The 3 series pumps are all available in a wide choice of materials, and housings can be supplied in 316 stainless steel, Hastelloy C and titanium. Liquiflo pumps are designed for metering applications where the combination of pulse-free flows and small volumes are important. The Liquiflo range offers users a basic choice of 21 different pump sizes. The range covers three types of pump, the 4, 3 and H series. The 3 series, supplied either as magnetically coupled or conventionally sealed, delivers flows up to 185 litre/min and a maximum of 7bar. Applications include pumping molten sulphur as part of a sulphuric acid manufacturing process, taking samples of hydrocarbon including crude oil to feed through analysers, pumping boiling solvents from distillation columns, pumping hydrochloric acid on metering applications in pulp and paper mills and pumping photographic chemicals and emulsions in the production of photographic film and paper.
