Wuhan Steel produces pipeline steel for Australia

Wuhan Inro and Steel successfully produced pipeline steel for Queensland in Australia and various production technical indexes of the steel reached the requirements of the customer. The production success not only marked that the production technology of pipeline steel of the plant has stepped on to a new level but also collaborated the work of exploring overseas markets of the corporation and cultivated a new profit growth point.

The plant faced big difficulties at the initial stage of the negotiation. The Supply Agreement requested that the macrostructure should be judged as per German Mann Standard that the requirements of slab products quality will be much higher than that of domestic customers.

The plant held several discussion meetings in connection to the index parameter requirements of the foreign party to study resolution approach. At the prophase of production the production casting machine was determined according to the characteristics of caster and requirements of slab section.

With reference to previous experience of producing pipeline steel the difficulties of segregation control of caster and water cooling distribution mode were successfully tackled. During the production, the production organization, technical coordination and instruction have had tight collaboration that the process control had excellent success. In the end all compositions of the finished products hit the target values.
