Swedish company Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions (WTS) signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Integrated Engineering Services (IES) based in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, strengthening its heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) offering to the offshore market.
Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions is a major supplier and integrator of HVAC systems and services to the offshore and marine industries. “This acquisition demonstrates our commitment to the offshore market, positioning us as a leading HVAC service provider in the competitive North Sea market”, said Petter Traaholt, president of Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions. “The IES HVAC aftermarket portfolio will greatly complement our well-established offshore services in Norway, the Americas and Asia.”
“Managing succession has been very important to us and we are very pleased to sell IES to WTS”, said James Dunlevy, founder and main shareholder of IES. “We share similar values, cultures, customer focus and technical expertise, which is a great foundation for future success. This is a very good match for customers and employees.”
“By joining forces, we broaden our global footprint, enhance our high quality services and continue our commitment of securing seamless operations and regulatory compliance for our offshore and onshore customers. I am very much looking forward to the opportunities this acquisition brings”, added Stuart Lockhead, the newly appointed managing director of IES.
