Waukesha launches continuous improvement initiative

Waukesha Foundry Inc. is launching another phase of its multiyear continuous improvement initiative which has involved moving and reconfiguring the machine shop, replacing the Kuka pattern-less molding Robots with a longer reach and increased range of motion Robot, the addition of an Omco Mixer to its specialty sand molding system, replacing the sand distribution system and now the replacement of its larger molding Kloster sand mixing, and mold handling system. The renovation will incorporate floor replacement, new rollers/mold convenance, and installation of a larger Kloster and smart pump resin system which will support larger molds and more efficient mold handling. The removal of the old equipment has been commenced at the beginning of December and is expected to be completed in mid-January.
