The Taiwanese steel manufacturer Walsin Lihwa Corporation has placed an order with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co KG, Hilden, Germany, for a Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB® 5.0) 370++/4.
The KOCKS RSB® in 5.0 design will be installed in a new SBQ rolling mill, located in Yantai, China. The rolling mill will focus on the production of special steel grades. The KOCKS RSB® 370++/4 will finish roll all-round dimensions from 18.0 to 100.0 mm, hexagon dimensions from 18.0 to 80.0 mm as well as pre-rounds for the wire rod outlet.
Included in the scope is, apart from the RSB®, also the Size Control System (SCS®) which allows real-time adjustments of the operating parameters of the rolling block, as well as the profile measuring gauge 4D EAGLE®.
