Walsin Specialty Steel Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Walsin Lihua Corp., has held a meeting to ensure the domestic steel orders amid the world economic crisis. Changshu Walsin is on full load production at the moment, with lead-time extending to the first quarter of next year. Its second stage project, worth CNY 0.6 billion, started construction in November 2008. Walsin owns 2 production areas, with capacities of 30,000tpa of stainless seamless steel pipes and 10,000tpa of alloy steel pipes, with 80% of the products exporting to 20 countries and regions like Europe, America and Southeast Asia etc. Some special products have been substituted for imported products. During January to October 2008, Walsin sold 20,000tns of seamless steel, up by 13.1% YoY and realized CNY 1.23 billion of sales revenue, up by 6.6% YoY.
