Vietnam has signed a contract worth USD 21 million to explore and exploit oil and gas offshore Touggourt, some 700km from Algiers. The contract, signed in Algiers by Petroleum Investment and Development Company (PIDC) of PetroVietnam and Algeria’s Sonatrach, allows PIDC to work on a 6472-square km block coded 433A-416B in Touggourt.
