In the Quang Ngai province of Vietnam, State-controlled Vietnam Oil and Gas Corp. (Petrovietnam) will begin construction of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) depot and allied distribution infrastructure at the Dung Quat refinery site. The USD 13.32 million project will consist of two 1000tn LPG tanks, an LPG distribution and delivery system from tanks to trucks, an industrial pipeline network, and fire-fighting systems. The project will be completed by early next year. Petrovietnam will link the facilities of its subsidiary Petrovietnam Gas (PV Gas) (Hanoi, Vietnam) with the proposed depot in Dung Quat to develop a complete LPG distribution infrastructure in the country. The company is also planning to build a cold LPG storage facility in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province as part of the distribution network. The warehouse is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
