Velan announced the retirement of A.K. Velan as the executive chairperson of the Board of Directors after 65 years of service to the company. He has been appointed to the honorary position of founder and chairperson emeritus. Tom Velan has been appointed chairperson of the Board and CEO, and William Sheffield is appointed to the new position of lead director, effective 19 May 2015.
