Alfa Laval has extended its PX range of vegetable oil separators with the addition of two new models, the PX 55 and PX 65. Developed for duties such as continuous de-gumming, neutralising, de-waxing and washing of fatty oils, both machines incorporate features developed specifically for processing vegetable oil and animal oils. Their addition enables Alfa Laval to provide machines offering from 50 up to more than 1250 tonnes of oil processing capacity per day. In the case of the PX 65, its maximum throughput capacity is 15m3/h. In common with all PX machines, the 55 and 65 models are based on a semi-hermetic design in which a bottom-fed inlet ensures gentle acceleration of the feedstock up to full bowl speed. All process wetted parts are made from stainless steel.
