Vardhman starts production with KOCKS technology

Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. has successfully rolled the first bar on its new Reducing & Sizing Block RSB® 370++/4 in the iF-awarded 5.0 design from KOCKS and signed the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC). The start-up marks a key milestone in Vardhman’s ongoing modernization efforts to meet the high demands of India’s automotive and engineering industries.

The RSB® 370++/4 operates as a finishing block behind a reversing breakdown mill and 10 H/V stands in the rolling mill, which is designed for an annual production capacity of 300,000 t. It enables Vardhman to produce round straight bars in the diameter range of 16.0 to 100.0 mm with high dimensional accuracy and optimal surface quality for downstream processing.

With this investment, Vardhman Special Steels continues to strengthen its position as a premium supplier of high-quality long products and to expand its product portfolio for both domestic and international customers. In addition to installation and commissioning, KOCKS experts provided on-site training and advisory services to allow for a smooth production start.
