A new VAM® Field service site will open in Texas to serve the Permian Basin. The market of the Permian Basin, a major region for oil production situated west of Texas and southeast of New Mexico in the United States, is expanding quickly. To accompany this growth, Vallourec’s American subsidiary, VAM USA, will open a new VAM® Field Service office in the town of Odessa.
At present, the network of VAM® Field Service offices has 230 worksite engineers located in 11 regional hubs who may be called out at any moment to install the products on the platforms.
The new office will support the growing number of VAM® customers in the Permian Basin, where VAM® SG, VAM® HTF-NR, VAM® TOP HT, and DWC/C™-IS-PLUS tubular connections are used. The 1,600 sq-ft facility will warehouse complete sets of VAM® Field Service running tools and provide the expertise required.
In total, VAM USA will have six VAM® Field Service offices in the United States: three in Texas, one in Louisiana, one in Oklahoma, and one in Pennsylvania.
