Usiminas Mecânica received the PINI Award in the category of best supplier of metal structures for the eighth consecutive year.
Created in 1995, the PINI Award is a brand reference in the construction sector. Annually, subscribers of the PINI magazines can access the online questionnaire and point their favourite businesses of each segment, based on the technical and commercial choice. More than 1,500 subscribers of the ‘Construção Mercado’, ‘Guia da Construção’, ‘Téchne’, ‘AU’ (Arquitetura & Urbanismo), ‘Infraestrutura Urbana’ and ‘Equipe de Obra’ participated in the online poll.
The voting took place between April 16, 2013 and July 19, 2013. Among the chosen requirements have been manufacturing quality product, best cost-effective, commercial services, technical assistance and communication actions with the market. The award ceremony will take place in São Paulo on December 3.
In 2012 and 2013, Usiminas Mecânica supplied steel structures for major projects such as the refurbishing of the Palestra Italia Stadium in Sao Paulo, and the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro; the deployment of the monorail in Sao Paulo; and construction of the VIOL project, which includes two large buildings that will house the new headquarters of Camargo Corrêa, also in São Paulo.
