CVR Energy Inc., which owns and operates a 115,000 barrel per day oil refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas, USA, is looking for a supplier to replace a crude oil supply contract with J.Aron & Co which is due to expire at the end of the year. J.Aron, owned by Goldman Sachs, told CVR it did not plan to extend the supply agreement for the full 12 months past 31 December 2008, but would extend it for up to 45 days, giving CVR a supply of crude while it negotiated with other suppliers. The refinery does has its own gathering system that provides about about 30,000bpd of oil.
