Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. (Bridgeville, Pa., USA) has announced that Dudley J. Merchant has been named to the newly created position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company. Mr Merchant has more than 25 years of steel industry experience, with a background in manufacturing as well as extensive sales and marketing expertise in the specialty steel segment. He most recently served as General Manager of Sales and Marketing for Theis Precision Steel, a domestic reroller of stainless and specialty alloy strip products and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Theis Stahlwerke Group of Germany. Mr Merchant also has held management positions with Allegheny Ludlum Steel and Industrial Steel and Wire Company.
