USX Engineers and Consultants Inc. (UEC), a subsidiary of United States Steel Corp., has changed its name to UEC Technologies LLC.
The company currently operates three separate business units and a wholly owned subsidiary: UEC Tech Services, which provides engineering, training, facility development and other technologies for the metals and process industries; UEC IT, a leading provider of eCommerce, order fulfilment and supply chain management systems as well as business process consulting, offshore development and professional services; UEC Labs, which offers five distinct laboratory services including industrial hygiene, analytical chemistry, fuels and lubricant analysis, coal and coke, and conditional monitoring; and Met-Chem Canada, Inc., which provides engineering and technical assistance for the mining, metallurgical and mineral processing industries.
