Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) has awarded a contract to UAE-based National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC) for upgrading facilities in the world’s largest offshore oilfield – Safaniya – in the Gulf. Value of the contract has not been disclosed. Scope of work involves the installation of sub-sea power cables and (42) submersible pumps in the northern part of the field.
