U.S. Steel Tubular Products, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation, introduced USS-LIBERTY TC™, the company’s newest American-made premium connection to oil and gas customers operating in challenging conditions.
The highly engineered premium and semi-premium connections offered by U.S. Steel Tubular Products expertly utilise state-of-the-art threads and seals to connect individual joints of steel pipe to form a continuous casing string that ensures safe and effective exploration and transmission of oil and gas. The patent-pending USS-LIBERTY TC premium connection incorporates the proprietary TightFit™ thread form with a unique metal-to-metal seal and shoulder configuration to improve performance in collapse, compression and torque. Ranging in size from 4 1/2″ to 7 5/8″ outside diameter, the connection is ideal for a broad range of complex applications including shale, horizontal and extended reach wells as well as sour service.
