Jianshan Iron Mine and Dongshan Mine of TISCO found a place in Metallurgical Mines’ Association of China’s recently revealed ‘Best Top 10 Mines’ in its fifth Metallurgical Mines Selection.
The highlights of Jianshan Iron Mine include an elaborate cost control system and a comprehensively implemented practice of daily consumption, daily accounting and weekly analysis, which results in higher productivity. It has a well-established quality control system, a normative quality management and responsibility mechanism, the advanced six sigma concept and strengthened process control, which jointly elevate product quality, as well as a motivating scheme to push forward technology progress and environment protection.
Dongshan Mine has implemented intensified environment governance in mining stope and waste disposal sites. They make scientific mining and disposal plans to control exploitation of the area and decrease the total land area for mining. With the drive of these innovations in management and technology, the mine leads the industry in terms of technology and economy indexes.
In addition, the two mines made significant achievements in safe production, cultural enterprise, team building and other fields, which have become an essential support for their sustainable development.
The “Best Top Ten Mines” selection among nationwide metallurgical mines is held every three years. Technology and economy indexes, financial figures, management level and comprehensive capability are evaluated and scored by experts of selection committee.
