Aerospace metals distributor TW Metals (Southampton, UK), has announced the appointment of John Brooks as Aerospace Sales Manager. In his new position he will be responsible for maintaining and developing materials management and supply programmes with European aircraft builders and their subcontractors with particular focus on TW Metals’ extrusion, sheet and tubular products. He will promote TW’s stock availability and material processing capabilities for MRO as well as new build.
John Brooks has extensive experience in the aluminium products distribution business, first with Alcan, which he joined as a management trainee, and then with Rapp Metals, another Alcan company, where he became involved in the aerospace industry. He later joined Pechiney distribution company, Almet, specialising in the aerospace market before rejoining the combined Alcan and British Aluminium companies as General Sales Manager for Aluminium Supply Aerospace Ltd.
John Brooks lives in Cookham, Berkshire. He is an avid jazz enthusiast and performs with a Dixieland band raising money for local charities.
