Turkey’s first steel R&D from Erdemir Group

The third Private Sector R&D Centers Summit took place in December at the Congresium Ankara ATO International Convention and Exhibition Center, where Erdemir received an R&D Certificate from Minister of Science, Industry & Technology Fikri Işık. Erdemir Group Technology Coordinator Uğur Yılmaz accepted the certificate.

The R&D Center established at the Ereğli Iron & Steel Facilities, which is the principal company of Erdemir Group, will serve for the spreading of a development model that is based on high-tech, value-added products and information. Up to the present day, Erdemir Group collaborated with international organisations in seven R&D projects, and public institutions in ten R&D projects, while seven TEYDEP Projects have been completed with success. Currently, there are over twenty ongoing R&D projects at the Erdemir R&D Center, with two of them being TEYDEP projects.
