Eurogas Corporation has announced the award of the 908,425 acre Sfax permit located offshore in Tunisia’s Gulf of Gabes. The Sfax Permit was officially awarded to a joint venture partnership of Eurogas Corporation and Gaither Petroleum Corporation of Houston, Texas, on 12 July 2003. The permit is favourably positioned in the Gulf of Gabes where several producing oil and gas pools lie adjacent to the permit including the 940 million barrel Ashtart
oilfield that lies along the SE boundary.
