Transneft Diascan inspected over 54 thousand kilometres of trunk pipelines in 2017. This figure complies with the diagnostic inspection plan for 2017.
In-line inspection operations were carried out using in-house inspection tools – geometry tools; ultrasound, magnetic, combined magnetic, and combined magnetic-ultrasound defectoscopes, and ultrasound tools for multiangle inspection of the pipe wall.
Over 47.6 thousand kilometres of trunk pipelines were inspected in 2017. The major part of operations was carried out on the trunk pipelines of Transneft East, Transneft Siberia, and Transneft Kama Region.
In-line inspection of about 6.4 thousand kilometres of petroleum products trunk pipelines of Transneft was also carried out in 2017. The main volume of operations was carried out on the sites of Transneft Baltic and Transneft Druzhba, where the inspection tools ran over 2 thousand kilometres of petroleum products trunk pipelines, and on the petroleum products trunk pipelines of Transneft Upper Volga. Defects identified in the course of inspection are being rectified during scheduled repair operations.
