TotalFinaElf in North Sea

TotalFinaElf SA will proceed with developing the fourth phase of its Nuggets offshore gas field in the UK’s North Sea, the French oil company has said. The company will spend GBP 31 million developing the satellite site, a spokeswoman said. “First production is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2003,” the company said. Nuggets N4 is expected to produce an additional 6000 barrels of oil equivalent, lifting total output from Nuggets to 36,000 boe/d, TotalFinaElf said. Nuggets N4’s gas will be routed through a subsea tieback to the Alwyn North Platform via Nuggets N3. The gas eventually will be transferred by the underwater Frigg pipeline to the St. Fergus gas terminal in northern Scotland.
