TotalFinaElf has decided to change its name to Total E&P. The French oil group made this decision in Paris during a general assembly of shareholders chaired by the group’s director general, Thiery Desmarst. The company stated that the former designation represented the growth of the group through mergers and that after three years of integration it was now time a new name and logo were put in place.
