Outokumpu has appointed Jarmo Tonteri as the new EVP Specialty Stainless and member of Outokumpu Group’s Executive Committee, effective 1 August 2011. He will report to Mika Seitovirta, the CEO of the company. In his new position, Tonteri will be responsible for Outokumpu’s Special Coil, Special Plate and Long Products business units, in addition to the thin and precision strip mill, Kloster and Group R&D. He will be based in Stockholm. Having spent much of his career in the steel industry, Tonteri has a vast amount of experience in implementing structural changes and turning loss making operations to sustainable profitability.
