TMK GIPI ships casing pipe for PDO

The Sultanate’s leading pipe manufacturer, TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry (TMK GIPI), TMK’s Omani plant, was recently awarded an 18,400t OCTG (threaded and coupled casing pipes) order from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). These high-strength casing pipes are used in well operations for oil development and drilling projects by PDO.
 
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is among the foremost exploration and production companies in the Sultanate. It accounts for more than 70% of the country’s crude oil production and nearly all of its natural gas supply. The Government of Oman owns the company with a 60% interest, along with Royal Dutch Shell (34%), Total (4%) and Partex (2%).
