The Chinese stainless steel producer Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Company Co. Ltd. (TISCO) has placed an order with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co KG, Hilden, Germany, for a Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB®) in 5.0 design.
TISCO is the 4th biggest stainless steel producer worldwide and ranks among the âChina 500 Most Valuable Brandsâ?. The producer is located in the Shanxi province and produces flat and long products for various high quality demanding industries.
The new KOCKS RSB® 5.0 will be part of the modernization and upgrade of the existing stainless steel rolling mill. The RSB® 5.0 will produce various austenitic, martensitic and ferritic stainless steel, duplex steel and nickel based alloys within a dimension range of í 16 â 100 mm. Commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of 2020.
The RSB® 5.0 is the latest milestone in reducing and sizing technology for special bar quality (SBQ) and stainless steel products and offers enhanced bar quality, improved productivity, mill availability and economy as well as a simplified and safe operation.
