ThyssenKrupp Stainless has announced that it has hired a director of communications to oversee communications and community relations for the stainless steel segment of its new carbon steel and stainless steel facility being developed at Calvert in Alabama. Effective 5th May 2008, Ms Mary Mullins will bring to the company over 24 years of public affairs experience in Washington DC and the Gulf Coast area, most recently as a co-founder and partner in The Bellwether Group. Prior to this, Ms Mary was senior VP of Washington Operations for E Bruce Harrison Company. She then moved to Mobile and started a Division of Environmental Public Affairs for Lewis Communications. Ms Mary will serve the senior management team at ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA.
