ThyssenKrupp Stainless International GmbH (Krefeld), subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Stainless Istanbul Çelik Servis Merkezi A.S., has opened a new service center, extending its existing distribution structures for stainless steel flat products with an optimized logistics system and additional warehouse space. As a result, ThyssenKrupp Stainless International has expanded its range of services in Turkey and can now better supply customers with stainless steel products from the new Gebze site in the East of Istanbul. The new buildings in Gebze, which took twelve months to complete, offer 16,000sq/m of space to enable prompt supplies to customers in Turkey. The existing production equipment has also been modernized to ensure continuity in the manufacture of high-quality products. Around 90 employees at the Gebze facility turn out custom flat products in multiple-shift operations. In addition to several lines for slitting and cutting to length in line with customer specifications, other key services include grinding and brushing to produce attractive finishes.
