The Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG appoints Martina Merz, member of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa AG and other international companies, to the Supervisory Board.

The shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG followed a proposal by the Nomination Committee and recommended Martina Merz as a new member of the Supervisory Board. thyssenkrupp AG will immediately request the appointment of Ms. Merz by the register court.
